Job Summary: The Receptionist is responsible for providing secretarial, clerical and administrative support in the Commission

Key Responsibilities

  1. Receives, assists and/or directs all visitors to the Division accordingly
  2. Answers all official telephone calls to the Division
  3. Manages the visitors’ waiting room
  4. Screens and directs visitors to the appropriate staff member
  5. Responds to public inquiries
  6. Assists in making preparations for general staff and committee meetings
  7. Assists in the planning and preparation of meetings, conferences and conference telephone calls

Person Specification

Required Knowledge and Skills

  1. Handle enquiries in a courteous and professional manner by telephone and in person
  2. Customer friendly personality and disposition
  3. Excellent communication skills; with good spoken and written English
  4. Ability to operate a multi-line telephone system, computer and other standard office equipment
  5. Ability to type accurately, and conversant with MS Office suite
  6. Must possess excellent telephone skills with an ability to handle a high volume of telephone calls with courtesy, speed and accuracy

Educational / Professional Qualification

Must possess HND in Secretarial Administration

Work Experience

Minimum of 2 years in a similar secretarial position
